Ecaterina at Continuum exhibition

Ecaterina Vertis is an internationally exhibited artist whose work explores memory, emotion, and the inner landscape of human experience.

Ecaterina was born near the border of Romania and Moldova. Here the surrounding forests and natural landscape first inspired her connection to art. She lived in Ukraine for a number of years before moving to Armenia where she established her professional career. Today, she lives in Cyprus, where she continues her artistic practice.

She has exhibited her work in solo exhibitions, international art fairs, biennials, and major cultural events. Whilst living in Armenia, she founded an art school and later established the largest gallery in Yerevan. She has also led cultural and charitable initiatives in collaboration with embassies and public institutions.

Ecaterina believes that “art is a text that everyone reads according to their own understanding.” Each painting is a quiet dialogue with the viewer. It reflects lived experience, emotion, and the enduring power of art to connect people.
