Ecaterina creates large-scale figurative paintings that move between abstraction and representation, using expressive colour, form and gesture to explore the emotional and sensory experience of place, memory and identity.

Of Romanian origin and currently based in Cyprus, her work is shaped by a life lived across different landscapes and cultures. In particular, her use of colour reflects the places that have been part of her journey, from Moldova to Ukraine and Armenia, and now Cyprus.
